No nonsense

Amber Danson BSc, MSC

Clinical Director

Amber is our Clinical Director and founder of Advanced Skin. With Degrees in Forensic Science, Physiology and Anatomy and Aesthetic Medicine she has gone on to complete her Masters in Advanced Facial Anatomy and Immunology.
 
Advanced Skin was created after Amber became disillusioned with the industry and the way it exploited people’s self esteem issues for monetary gain – rather than correcting them. Combining her extensive experience of anatomy, physiology, immunology, pathology, dissection and clinical services; she has become one of the leaders in her field. Currently considered one of the leading experts in teen skin and acne, as well as specialising in inflammatory skin conditions has led to patients travelling internationally for our services, advice and care.
 
Amber is a qualified trainer and winner of multiple industry awards, which has led to her offering professional development support, as well as training other practitioners in advanced aesthetic practices. Along with being a contributing columnist for various health and wellbeing publications.
 
Amber’s primary goal is to teach people that skin is an important organ (not a vanity); to make skin health, education and care accessible to all, to educate teens and above all, to stop people wasting their money on ridiculously priced, ineffective products. Ethics, Integrity and results are the foundation of Advanced Skin Cheltenham, and we aren’t afraid to say “No” when its needed!

Our skins appearance has a huge psychological impact that can last a lifetime and the misinformation given {solely to make money} doesn’t help. I vow to offer no nonsense advice and to educate people on what works. My clients know I care, that I am available when needed and I am as invested in their journey as they are.

Trudi Ashton

Clinic Manager and Senior Medical Aesthetic Practitioner

Trudi is our Senior Skin Specialist and Clinic Manager. Hailing originally from the Spa and Wellness industry, she moved into Medical Aesthetics and Skin Science to follow her passion of skin health and to focus on physiological function. Her goal is to change peoples lives and confidence through education, support and honesty.
 
Trudi has over 15 years experience, with qualifications in Skin Science, Collagen Induction Therapy and Physiology and Anatomy, she has exceptional attention to detail and fantastic patient care. She has worked closely and trained with our founder and Clinical Director to ensure her training, knowledge and skills are not only exceptional but to the highest standard.

I want to teach people that perfection doesn’t exist. We live in a world full of filters, airbrushing and make up, which only contributes to mental health issues in both teens and adults. We have lost sight of what is normal and healthy behaviour in our skin and I want to not only teach my clients the importance of health over perfection, but how to love themselves too!

Jodie Durrant

Medical Beautician and Aesthetic Practitioner

Jodie is our specialist Medical Beautician and Skin Aesthetician. Having worked for over 10 years in the Medical Industry, specialising in Clinical Care, she decided to move into the Aesthetic Industry after witnessing the huge impact it can have on a patient’s self-confidence, healing and quality of life.
 
Specialising in Microblading and Lip Blush rejuvenation, she is also a valued member of the Skin Clinic Team, being able to provide guidance in all aspects of the Medical Beauty Sector. Her passion for enhancing and building confidence whilst providing exceptional clinical care has made her one of the leaders in the Medical Beauty Field. 

Having worked with end-of-life clients for many years, I saw the impact personal care can have on not just the quality of life, but self-confidence; and to be able to give people this wonderful gift was something I wanted to be a part of. Whether the motivation behind the treatment is end of life, rejuvenation after a medical treatment/ condition or just self confidence; I feel privileged to be able to go on this life changing journey with you

Ellis Bennett

Aesthetic Practitioner

Ellis is a Skin Specialist and has been a part of the wellness industry for over 5 years. An exceptional clinician, she is has completed her training in Advanced Skin Methodology, Collagen Induction Therapy, Physiology and Anatomy and Massage.
 
Her dedication to results and education show in her perfectionism and the first-class treatments she provides. 
Her warm personality, enthusiasm and passion puts patients at ease and makes her an excellent member of the Advanced Skin team.

I’ve grown up with Social Media telling us what is beautiful, how to look our best and selling celebrity endorsed products. I want to challenge these unrealistic expectations and teach my peers that perfection doesn’t exist, miracle products don’t exist and that we are enough!

Deb Durrant

RGN Prescribing Nurse

Deb is our resident Prescribing Nurse who has been in the NHS for the last 32 years and is the lead liver specialist nurse in the Gloucestershire area. She has been a contributing author in multiple research articles for the NHS and medical papers and is extremely respected throughout the industry.

Her passion for education, training and client care; mixed with her heart of gold and no-nonsense approach has seen her become a much loved and popular member of the team with staff and clients alike!

 

Tricia Moss

OFFICE MANAGER

Tricia is our Office Manager who not only welcomes patients with a warm smile, but keeps the rest of us in line! She has over 25 years of experience in the wellness industry, with qualifications in Physiology and Anatomy, Skin, Aromatherapy, Massage and Hydro-therm Massage Therapy, allowing her to answer most queries!
 
Tricia manages the diary, appointments, emails and all social media queries. Should you require anything at all or have any questions, Tricia is your go to person.
 
Combining her practical experience with her extensive Customer Service and Administration expertise, she is the perfect person to answer all your queries and cater to your every need!

Skin has always been my passion and knowing what Advanced Skin’s philosophy is, really resonates with me; you get the facts, education and fabulous skin health! This truly is my dream job – being surrounded by like minded, results driven and ethical people. I feel like a child in a sweet shop and cannot believe I get to be a part of such an amazing team.

I had had plasma before at a different clinic but the results had been underwhelming.
